"Such activities not only contribute to the nation’s development but also provide students with the opportunity to showcase their art and intellectual abilities."

Windows of Hope is an initiative through which I am trying to raise awareness about the importance of creativity and art education in the development of children from underprivileged communities. For every child, a canvas represents a window of hope for a better future; each child is a window of hope for their family, and a window of hope for their nation.

Over the past two years, I have worked closely with Al-Furqan School, in conducting Summer Art Classes for children aged 10 to 15. I am happy to share my journey of teaching and learning with amazing students.

I also had the opportunity to enable these students to take a piece of what they learnt back to their neighborhoods. The Wall Painting Community Project was an initiative which was sponsored by Diamond Paints, where the students were able to showcase their creativity on the walls of a house in Khudadad Colonoy in Karachi.

During this time, I was also on a personal journey of artistic expression, exploring the representation of lives which are lived by children from under-privledged backrounds. Parents of these children work hard to provide basic necessities for them; I explored the work of craftsman engaged in making Gajras (flower bracelets). Portfolio
